HOMEWARD BOUND ~ Every family needs a place to call home
I love the feeling of giving back and I have partnered up with the wonderful,
local non-profit Homeward Bound. "Transforming Attitudes, Lives, and Families."
As Arizona’s largest transitional housing program, Homeward Bound provides transitional housing
and support services to as many as 155 very low-income, but working, families with children who would otherwise be
homeless or forced to remain in a domestic violence environment. The goal of Homeward Bound is to break the cycles of
homelessness, poverty and domestic violence for families and their children. Homeward Bound not only helps these families
in the short term, by putting a roof over their heads, they strive to effect long-term change by teaching skills of self-sufficiency.
With 95% of the families graduating from the program and 10% moving into home ownership, Homeward Bound provides the skills
needed for these families to become self-sufficient. Homeward Bound is a “hand up, not a hand out.”
If the clothing cannot be consigned, it will be donated
to Homeward Bound. If you have household items that you want to donate as well. One's trash is another's treasure.
